ISOM offers viscosupplementation or hyaluronic acid therapy for synovial fluid replacement to relieve pain for arthritis and cartilage damage. The injections are basically designed to replace the synovial fluid that was either lost or destroyed over time due to the wear and tear on the knee joint. IOSM physicians and staff are able to identify exactly the area of the knee needing the injection by the use of a fluroscope. This is a feature many orthopedic and sports medicine offices lack at this time.
